These newborn shoots are getting dangerous – every time I see or hold one of these little ones, it makes me want another baby!
McCoy was such a good little guy. I usually plan on at least 2 hours for a newborn shoot because it usually takes some time to get them to sleep. This one was only just over an hour because he cooperated so well for me! Such a good little guy – I’m so happy I got to meet him!

What a beautiful family!! I actually should have posted these pictures on here awhile ago since their session took place almost a month ago. They already have their copies, but I wanted to give them a chance to win an 8×10, and have a chance to show off their pictures to their family and friends! 25 or more comments gets them a free 8×10!

Lily was one week old when I got to finally meet her. She was a late comer – coming 1 week after her due date. The doctors thought she would be over 10 pounds, so a C-section was scheduled. Well, she was barely over 7 pounds, but she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck 3 times, so it was a blessing in disguise the the doctors were wrong about her weight and that she arrived by C-section!
Lily didn’t want to sleep for us. After about 2 hours and lots of awake photos, I decided to pack up and come back another day. And of course, right then she fell asleep! I managed to get about 4 minutes of her sleeping, but I’m so grateful for those 4 minutes, because those are some of my favorite shots!
Help make Lily’s parent’s day by commenting – they need at least 25 comments to get a free 8×10!

I’ve “known” Stephanie for a couple of years now. We are both food bloggers who have been involved in many of the same projects. But this was the first time that we had ever met face to face, even though we live so close together! It was so nice to meet her and her family – I felt like I was taking photos of a friend. And you’ll probably want to check out her food blog – Stephanie’s Kitchen. I love it!
You know the game – 25 or more comments on this post and the Younger family gets to chose a free 8×10!
