I have a handful of locations where I photograph regularly. But my favorite thing is when a client has their own location where they want their session to take place. And sometimes, it just ends up perfectly. Like this session. We went to a few different locations, but my favorite was just a field where the light was magical. I could have taken their photos in that field all evening long! And even though their session was just a few hours ago, I couldn’t wait to get their photos up so that Chris, Ashley and Noelle can see them. What a beautiful family!

I was so excited to photograph this family!! Chris and McKell came in 2nd in my “Just the Two of Us” contest, then last week, they also won one of the free weekly sessions I was giving away. We decided to throw them both together and do a session with everything!
Hadley wasn’t too excited to be there, so I was happy I got a few photos of her! But Chris and McKell were a dream to photograph. I don’t do a lot of just couples, so this was a really fun photos session for me. I’m thinking now that I want to do even more couples! Especially if they all look like Chris and McKell. Check out that second photo – hot momma!!

This family is what I would call a photographer’s dream to photograph. Super cute, easy going, and so happy! The biggest thing I was drawn to as I was going through their photos were the real, genuine smiles and the laughing faces. I think that’s when you really capture someone’s personality, and those are always my favorite kinds of photos!

We actually did these photos before Christmas, but I wanted to make sure that the Holman family got their chance to win a free 8×10!
I have decided that one of the hardest parts about being a photographer is finding great locations. The location we originally wanted fell through at the last minute, but luckily we were able to find somewhere fun! The Holman’s are a gorgeous family and were so much fun!

What a beautiful family!! I actually should have posted these pictures on here awhile ago since their session took place almost a month ago. I’ve “known” Stephanie for a couple of years now. We are both food bloggers who have been involved in many of the same projects. But this was the first time that we had ever met face to face, even though we live so close together! It was so nice to meet her and her family – I felt like I was taking photos of a friend. And you’ll probably want to check out her food blog – Stephanie’s Kitchen. I love it!
