This morning, I had an idea. And I’m sure it’s an idea that all of you will love!
How about a free photo session??
Who doesn’t like free? And for the next 4 weeks, I’ll be giving away a free photo session a week. But there is a catch. Here’s how it’s going to work:
One day a week, I will put up a post on my Facebook Fan page, specifying that that day is the day for the free photo session. The photo session has to take place on the day and time that I specify in the post. It also has to take place in Utah or Salt Lake County. So you need to be ready! Sometimes I may post the morning of, or maybe the day before. The first person to email me at deborahharrounphotography@gmail.com gets the session.
It’s that easy!
Each free session will include 5 digital images on a disc with printing rights, and of course, you can purchase more digital files or prints if you would like to.
And since the week is almost over, we’re starting today! The free photo session will be announced over on my Facebook Fan page today!

It is finally feeling like spring here in Utah!! And to celebrate, I’m offering up a full day of photo sessions at half price! So if you have been wanting to get new pictures of your kids, or if that family photo is outdated, or for any reason all – this is a perfect chance!

One thing I really love about living in Utah is that you can pretty much go “downtown” in any town and find some really cool places to take photos. For Alisha’s session, that’s exactly what we did. We took a block and walked up and down and were able to find some great places for her senior photos!
This isn’t really a sneak peek since we did a rush job for her and she already has her photos, but I wanted to make sure that she gets a chance to earn a free 8×10. So leave her a comment!

I want to do a little shout out for a fundraiser dinner some girls in my church are doing. If you are in Utah, this is definitely something you should check out. The man who is cooking the dinner is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, so the food should be amazing. And cheap! And you can also get a family portrait done by me! Only $20 for an 8×10 print – that is super good deal! There is a paypal link located below if you are interested!!

Ok, before you turn away and think that this contest is not for you – hear me out first!!
I had the honor of taking some photos for my mom and dad not too long ago. And I got quite emotional while going through them and editing, and I was so happy to be able to give these to my parents. Why? Because they never have any pictures of the two of them together. Then I started thinking – really the only time a couple gets professional pictures done is when they have engagement photos and wedding photos. I think it’s pretty uncommon to get them any other time. I always try to do a few photos of the mom and dad alone whenever I do a family session, so I thought – I want to offer up a couples session to win! Wouldn’t that make a great date night – heading out with your spouse to get some portraits done of just the two of you?!
I wanted to make sure that I could include everyone on this, so I’m not limiting this to just husband and wife. It can be husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, best friends – as long as there are two of you, that’s all that matters! And please don’t get shy. I know I hate being in front of the camera, but this will be a great thing for all of your posterity to see! Or maybe you want a session for your parents – enter them in!
What will we be giving away? There will be TWO great prizes for this contest!

- We’ll have two methods of voting each day:
- The first will be here on the blog, where we’ll upload the photos with an assigned number and voting poll within the post and you and your friends and family can vote once each day.
- The second way will be on our Facebook Page, where you can vote once a day by commenting on the photo of your choice. Your comment can be as simple as “This is my vote!”. Please note – you must LIKE Deborah Harroun Photography on Facebook before you can vote!
- Send EVERYONE you know to our Facebook page and blog to vote!
- Voting will begin on Monday, May 10th and will run through May 17th, so that gives you a full WEEK to get everyone voting for your photo!
- The fine print – please do not send in any professional photographs. The winning session must take place by August 1, 2010. The session must take place in Utah or Salt Lake Counties.

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year! I took some time off here on the website, but now I am ready to get back into the swing of things.
So to start things off, I’ll first announce my new pricing for 2010. I am still building my portfolio, so I have decided to continue to offer reduced rates for all of 2010. The session fee has gone up, but it now includes 15 digital files. For the complete pricing list, click here. 
Since I’m itching to get my camera out, I’m offering a killer deal for any sessions that are booked and paid for in January. The session doesn’t have to take place in January, but it must be completed by June 30, 2010. Get 75% off of my regular session price. That means for $75, you get the session covered and 15 digital files!
